First Grade Qtr.1 technology
First grade, has class everyday from 2:10 to 3:00
First quarter, first grade will emphasize a strong focus on typing and word processing, as well as computer basics and components.
First graders will practice typing using proper home row technique.
First graders will also develop and improve their word processing skills. They will write short sentences, using proper spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and word spacing.
Students will illustrate their text with shapes, clipart, or images if possible. They will learn to position and size those objects with their text. Students may learn to print / save their documents.
In Technology we will also be focusing on classroom standards. We want to meet our classroom standards using technology as the tool to learn.
